Heath did a great job on my new Brazilian 7 string guitar by eliminating some fret buzz and making some other adjustments I hadn't even considered. He was great with his communication along the way and charged a fair price for honest work. I highly recommend Heath if you need anything done on your guitar on the Northern Beaches 🎸👏

FOR BASSISTS: I cannot recommend Heath enough. I have given him one real problem Ernie ball Stingray5 HH with very specific pickups and he managed to source one from some backwater shop overseas and make it sound and play incredible. I have then also handed him my new Dingwall NG2 where he did the NG3 upgrade, replaced the nut and set it up beautifully. No matter what challenge you throw at him, Heath will rise to the occasion and deliver. Regarding payment, both times i've really felt like ive robbed him considering what ive asked him to do and the lengths hes gone to for me. His turn around time is great, communication is top tier (even just a quick message when i've gone and screwed something up! lol) and he's just an all around great dude to talk guitars with. I honestly cant see myself trusting anyone else with my instruments. If youre looking for a new guitar guy to trust with setting up your gear, look no further.

Thank you for bringing joy back to our guitar playing! For years we’ve battled with ‘set-ups’ and ‘servicing’ that came back with frustrating fret buzzes and actions that were too high. Some quick research had me finding rave reviews for Manly Guitar Works. We started with one guitar and ended up sending three more. Once you’ve played a well set up guitar, you won’t settle for less.

Did amazing work on my brand new 5 string bass. The action is fast, intonation is spot on. He dressed some frets for me to get rid of the fret buzz, sounds great unplugged, sounds amazing when running through the amp. Will be reccomending to everyone

Great service from Heath at guitar works. Completely restored my stratocaster to its former glory after years of corrosion due to living near the sea. I’ve owned a Maton SRS-60C for the past 5 years and never had it worked on. Got the idea from a mate after he had a strum of it, looked online and found Manly Guitar Works - I wish I found them 5 years ago!Heath has worked some magic on this guitar - it plays beautifully, feels fantastic moving up and down the fret board, and is the cleanest I’ve ever seen it! Awesome work! Les Paul Custom Shop and Guild F50 both restored by Heath. Both guitars suffering from rust from 20yrs of salty air. Hunted down the exact components, replaced hardware, fixed electronics, high attention to detail, both playing as good as ever. Highly recommend.

Thanks Heath for the absolute professional service and attention to detail, I’d been advised you’d give, when dropping off an impulse purchase during lockdown of a new guitar.Having wanted a Maton guitar for ages I purchased a Maton Messiah during the last lock down sight unseen from a Melbourne dealer. Took my right hand Epiphone Allen Woody to Heath and he did an amazing job. Bass was twangy on some of the frets, action was off and had a few dead notes after a couple of years without servicing. He’s got it feeling like new but still felt familiar.He also took my acoustic 6 string and restrung for a left hander.Both jobs were done professionally, with great communication and I highly recommend.

After finding my 30 years + old 1st guitar in my parents garage, I decided to get it fixed up for sentimental reasons. Heath did a complete rewire, dropped a hot Seymour Duncan pickup and gave it a full setup and tune. It came back playing so well that it's the only guitar I want to play. Third time bringing a guitar to Heath - he's previously setup for me an old ibanez electric and washburn acoustic, and this time a 2nd hand PRS CE 24 from 2004. Before taking it to Heath the guitar felt stiff and a bit lifeless, Heath did his thing, and woah mama, feels smooth as silk. Great guy, great service, great value, and very trustworthy (like I said, 3rd time here). Heath was also very giving with his time and knowledge, in helping me understand setup options and string gauges, this being my first PRS. Highly recommend, the best

I dropped in my mayones regius 6 in for my pickups to be changed to bareknuckle humbuckers and serviced to sit a little bit lower. The result is phenomenal, not only did Manly guitar works go above and beyond with the service! but had to careful customise the pickups and slots on the guitar so they would fit perfectly. Thanks to Manly guitar works I have finally found the perfect setup I have needed for my guitar journey. 🤘

Thanks Heath, I'm so surprised how well this guitar plays now. I've had it for years and it has never played this well. I always thought that is was because it was a Mexican guitar and therefore somehow inferior. Apparently this wasn't true. I really needed my Stratocaster American Deluxe with Humbucker set up, I wasnt sure what difference it would make, I'd got it set up when I'd bought it but that was a long time ago, but I'd started taking my learning seriously and wanted to make sure my strat was in top order, a little Google search and after reading a few reviews on guitar set up places, I decided to entrust my guitar to Heath, at Manly Guitar Works. Talk about a great job, the difference was night and day! Heath did a superb job on it and now I cant put the guitar down. Heath is is very approachable, and if you are new to Guitar you can trust him to do a great job at a decent price and you can ask any questions, he'll just be helpful. Heath was also kind enough to let me bring my amp over and show me what the guitar can do, and run me through how get some different sounds. Seriously, you cant go wrong here. Heath also does lessons, and I'll be taking up a few of those too.

Heath is amazing. He restored my beautful 40 yo Ovation and it's never sounded better. He is experienced, dependable and calm. I have also taken several other guitars to him and will go back for maintance every time. If you're in Sydney, this is the Guitar workshop to go to. Highly recommended.

Took an acoustic guitar to have a pickup system installed and a service, and a pretty bad old electric guitar to see if worth salvaging. Both ended up sounding and playing better than ever.
